It goes without saying that London is one of the best places in the world for theatre. There are 39 theatres in the West End alone, and another 200 dotted around the city. Located on Leicester Square, in the heart of theatreland, The Londoner is the obvious choice for theatregoers both before and after their show, being a stone's throw from all theatres including Sondheim Theatre, Garrick Theatre and Donmar Warehouse. Whether on a London theatre break or a local just catching a show, discover The Londoner’s theatre packages, pre-theatre dining and post-show cocktail bars.

The Fear of 13

Adapted from the 2015 documentary, this new play at the Donmar Warehouse is one of hope, systematic injustice and resilience, based on the true story of Nick Yarris who spent 22 years on death row before being exonerated.

What begins as a routine traffic stop spirals into a devastating wrongful conviction for murder, leading Yarris to spend 22 agonising years on death row. His plea for an execution date, rather than an appeal, brings his incredible story to a powerful and unexpected conclusion…

“The first thing you should know is that this is true. It’s what actually happened. I know it seems like it’s a story – inside of a story – inside of a story. –but that’s how it is for most people. At least the ones in here.”

Before The Show

Set just a few minutes’ walk from theatres such as Harold Pinter Theatre, The Palace Theatre, and Shaftesbury Theatre, The Londoner is the perfect place to enjoy drinks or dinner before the show.

The Perfect G&T

Joshua’s Tavern is a London gin bar with more than 50 varieties of gin, as well as a selection of draft beer, wine and bar bites. Hosting live music on weekends, it’s the ideal setting for pre-drinks before you stroll to the theatre.

After The Show

They say the show must go on, so why shouldn’t your evening? Return to our rooftop or the comforting golden accents of The Stage, set just a few minutes' walk from theatres such as The Prince of Wales Theatre, London Coliseum and Theatre Royal Haymarket.

The Stage Champagne Bar

Whether you've just witnessed the spectacular Lion King, had your heartstrings pulled by Les Miserables, or lived the magic of Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, discuss the evening’s performance over a glass of Champagne at The Stage. Choose from more than 35 varieties of Champagne, Champagne cocktails or order an artisan cheese and charcuterie board if you fancy a snack.
