Step into Siena. It’s the beginning of the 14th century in central Italy. A golden moment for art, a catalyst of change. Artists Duccio, Simone Martini and the brothers Pietro and Ambrogio Lorenzetti are forging a new way of painting. 

Faces express emotion, bodies move, and vibrant stories unfold across panels. This exhibition reunites iconic works, including parts of Duccio's 'Maestà' and Martini’s Orsini polyptych, never seen together before. Siena’s creative energy spilled into other art forms, including gilded glass, illuminated manuscripts, and silks, influencing Europe.
